So you want to play guitar? You’ve got no excuse anymore.

Guitar lessons have there place, but what I REALLY wanted was a crash course and a way to learn how to play the songs that I actually like.

Fortunately, there is a HUGE amount of excellent quality guitar lesson videos available online. Just search for ‘learn guitar’ on YouTube. The problem is that there is a lot of garbage out there. I’m not joking. You can kill a LOT of time trying to find decent stuff. Some of it is hysterical if you want a good laugh but it won’t help you play guitar.

We go out and find the best online guitar training videos and post them all here so you can spend less time searching and more time playing. New songs and skills are added regularly and it’s all free! Hope you enjoy.

If you’re following the posts here sequentially or maybe reading this in an email update, you probably noticed that I went on a strange journey tonight. First, I found some cool videos on skills like how to play harmonics. Then I pulled up Barracuda which uses harmonics in the intro. Next thing I know, I’m thinking back to what I listened to when I was folding papers for my route back in 5th or 6th grade. I’d sit on the porch across from my neighbor who also had a paper route and he’d crank up his cassette player with Tom Petty, Rush or one of many other ‘classics’. Paul also introduced me to Ozzy (with and without Sabbath), The Scorpions (Blackout and earlier) and tons of other great bands.

Just wanted to post a note to let you know that you’ll see a lot of diversity up here. Don’t worry if you’re not into Tom Petty or Heart. :-) Maybe this weekend I’ll fast-forward to my high school years. LOL Man, I wore out that Ratt tape. hahaa yeah, I’ll have to track down Round and Round just for old-time’s sake.

But don’t worry – I’m all about keeping it current too. Let me know what you’re into and I’ll get it up here asap.

Take it easy,
Aaron
